William Kingkade was born and raised in Milford and went to Milford High School before graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is certified as a middle school teacher.
Will began his civic involvement in Milford as a town meeting member. He was a commissioner on the Milford Housing Authority and later was elected to three terms on the Milford School Committee.
While serving on the School Committee, he met his wife, Lisa Almeida. They have been married for almost 10 years and have one son, Caleb, who recently turned six years old.
Will’s entire family is devoted to their town. Lisa is an assistant principal; his brother, Ken, is a police officer; and his sister, Johanna, is a middle school teacher.
Will has been employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the last 18 years. He has been an active participant in town government, holding a number of positions on boards and committees. He takes the responsibility and privilege of serving very seriously and enjoys being involved. For the last two years, Will has served as a member of the Milford Finance Committee, and he was chosen as mayor of Prospect Heights for 2014–15.
